The fresh, crisp cotton linen added to the ambiance. I adored the adjoining dressing room. it felt like a dream come true. Breakfast was a highlight—served in a lavish Victorian style, with a warm toast warmer making the experience unforgettable. The rich flavors of scrambled eggs and kippers still linger in my memory. One cozy evening, I relaxed next to the fire in the lounge with homemade cakes, feeling completely at home. The only challenge was a slight lack of clarity on who to approach for any immediate queries, given there isn't a central reception. Regardless, this enchanting stay felt like stepping back in time, a place I'd happily revisit.

A bit overwhelming with the religious iconography throughout the property!!! A dedicated bathroom down the hall feels dated, and I found myself wishing for a more modern twist on some furnishings!!!

the lack of a TV in the room was a bit odd for us. but the breakfast was absolutely delicious (such a grand spread! ). our hosts were super friendly and made us feel welcomed right away. the decor was stunning, and it felt like stepping back in time.

the garden has a charming little chapel at the end to explore. directions around town were a bit confusing at first.
